The Color Tool is a website specializing in the display of colors and color combinations through a number of fast, easy and effective web tools, which enable users to make thousands of color changes on the fly. "On The Fly" is an expression which means changing colors and/or other style elements on a web page, virtually instantly, at the users prompt. The Color Tool utilizes all of the color palettes you see named on your left. Subscribers to our web based member's site can benefit from working with all of the color combinations available in these color palettes. My name is Joseph and I am the author and designer of The Color Tool. I began writing web sites after purchasing my first Macintosh computer in 2005. Along with my new computer, I also purchased Creative Suite I and Studio MX with Flash Professional, wherein I upgraded to the latest versions of Creative Suite II and Studio 8 with Flash Professional when those upgrades became availabe. The Macintosh (Mac, Apple) computer has been the best computer experience I could have imagined and has enabled me to create various other sites before this one. Early on I became interested in colors and the style of the text and page layout changing, based on the users preference. The technique of changing colors and styles is widely known as changes "On The Fly" and can refer to changing the background and foreground colors, as well as the font size, type and color, along with many other attributes and characteristics on a web page. |
I have been thrilled with the performance and expansability of Creative Suite III. However, early on as a beginner in web design, I was unfamiliar with all of the various color options available to the web and/or print designer and wanted my options of choosing and reviewing background and foreground colors on a page to occur faster and easier. Thus, I came up with the idea for The Color Tool. I tinkered with making colors changes "On The Fly" for a while, but I was unable to make it work across various web browsers and computer platforms. For example, I could get it to work in Safari (Apple's web browser), but I could not get it to work in Internet Explorer, Firefox or Netscape. Although I had already purchased the domain name, thecolortool.com, my inability to get things to work became frustrating, so I put the idea down for a while. Working on a site previous to The Color Tool, being Real Estate Demos, I was enhancing that site and discovered how to make changes to the background and fonts, wherein it worked across all/most browsers and platforms. Thus, I went back to The Color Tool to restart building and designing it several times, until now, wherein you can see for yourself how easy to use, intuitive and helpful it can be for changing the background and foreground and font characterstics "On The Fly". |
